FATHER JOE’S MESSAGE FOR AUGUST 2010  -    PASS IT ON….     A young man was working for a business for several  years and had been secretly stealing about $100 a month for the last two years. When the shortage was discovered, he was called into the office by the manager.  Immediately he knew he would be fired and perhaps sent to prison.       His boss surprised him by saying: “If I leave you stay in your present position, could I trust you in the future?”  This was almost too good be to true.  He responded “Yes sir, you sure can.  I have learned my lesson” overjoyed at being forgiven!       The manager must have detected true repentance and sincerity to make such an offer.  He then responded: “I am not going to press charges, you can keep your present position.  I think you ought to  know, however, that you are the 2^nd man that stole from this firm and found leniency.  I was the first.  What you have done, I did.  The mercy you have received, I received.  Some day you too might have the opportunity to pass it on” God Bless      We might not have had the experience of these gentlemen, but we have all experienced the mercy of God.  We too should pass it on!
